One Word Photo Challenge: Maroon

A blast from the past, fits with the maroon theme. Photo 2008

I’d probably been walking around all day with the hanger loop hanging out the neckline of my blouse.  Little grand-daughter was barely a week old.

I started blogging in an effort to keep the old brain cells alive. I'm writing a fantasy series, I take more MOOCs than I can handle, and am trying to get my Nikon D3000 off auto. I live in Victoria, Australia, with my husband and our dog, Vika.

  1. Hey There you are! Now that’s what I call a thousand megawatt smile right there!
You’re very pretty for a grandma – with or without the hanger loop hanging out ;D
I love this pic, thanks for sharing Christine!

    1. I added up on my fingers Sue, and she must be at school now! I’m a pretty rotten grandma. I think she was five last birthday, but I’m wary about birthday card with a number on it now since I sent one a year too young. First thing she said when I saw her that Xmas, very indignant – Nana, I’m not six! 😀 Anyway, she should have been glad to get a card, I’m a bit slack that way too.

  2. Beautiful and happy photo, full of memories.

And at least it wasn’t toilet paper hanging out the back, after a trip to a public restroom (I’ll leave that to your visual imagination, as thankfully there is no photographic evidence — that I know of!! — to document the moment).

      1. It was over thirty years ago — during University days — and I have, thankfully, little specific memories other than:

        1. We were probably all so, um, out of it that no one noticed.

        2. If anyone did notice, I don’t *think* they said anything (I really don’t remember; reference #1 “we were all so out of it”).

        3. If anyone did notice, perhaps it saved them embarrassment in the future? because ….

        4. I learned to ALWAYS CHECK BEFORE LEAVING, so perhaps they did too. 🙂

Hope you’re having/have had a lovely strap-and-paper-free-day in your part of the world! 🙂
