I started blogging in an effort to keep the old brain cells alive. I'm writing a fantasy series, I take more MOOCs than I can handle, and am trying to get my Nikon D3000 off auto. I live in Victoria, Australia, with my husband and our dog, Vika.

  1. Can I move into that room to watch the birds? Would I then be responsible for cleaning up their mess? What does that have to do with renting the room? Let them clean up their own mess. Shouldn’t they know that by now? 😀 😀 😀

    1. You know, Tess, I’ve never thought about any mess. You would think the fence would be covered in droppings, but it’s not! I’m sure I had a few corn plants grow last year, though. 😀

    1. I’ve been lucky with droppings, considering the birds flying about here! Some of the seeds get scattered with the comings and goings and the sparrows clean up the ground but they leave the corn seeds. I’m pretty sure the cockies chew them up, so they wouldn’t be much good when coming out the other end. 😀

  2. I would not mind a bit of clean up if I were blessed with such exotic ornithological specimens.
Where we lived in MX there were two large rock formations, in view of the shore, which shone quite white in the sun…they were totally covered in bird droppings. (No one climbed them.) But a few birds on a fence is an event that manages itself naturally. Now, flocks of geese on the golf course, or any pathway, can be quite hazardous! (Insert smile face here.)

    1. 🙂 I can still remember navigating my way to the outhouse at the bottom of grandma’s back ‘garden’ when a child. The stench was something shocking as she kept lots of ducks. She sold duck eggs and milk from her small herd of diary cows (they were kept on the common). I’m sure nothing stinks so much as duck doings! I’m glad you are coping much better Carol Ann. Thanks for dropping in.

  3. Oh yeah! Love the open wings. As I write my guy is being his crazy self… Sorry haven’t been around in a while, my seasonal disappearance. 😉 Hope you’re well and I can do some catch up soon.

    1. Thought you would like that one. Never apologize for abandoning the blogging ship … we should all appreciate that our blogging friends do need to participate in other arenas of life just as we do. I am well, thanks eLPy, apart from some hayfever. I was pleased to capture the open wings like that. Thanks for dropping in.
