Stop!

On the way home, we had to wait while a passenger train pulled into the historic Kyneton Station, briefly. It felt like ages before it continued on by us. It was probably going to Melbourne.

Then, almost home, we stopped at roadworks while the fellows were still on a lunch or tea break! The lights counted down from 10, having turned orange and then red just as I approached.

I don’t know why I didn’t take a photo of a huge truck which came tearing down the road towards us just before our lights changed. Did he think I would drive into him if my light turned green? It was a bit eerie. Mr R couldn’t help wondering if it was going a bit too fast to turn in time.

We had a wet trip once we reached our side of Ballarat, but no wind. I was glad of that, as I freak out when driving in windy weather. You can see why – all those trees lining the road. We had about 1 & 1/2 inches in our rain gauge when we got home!

It’s good to be home.  And with a dry tent.   🙂

PS: I originally sent three images from my phone, the other day. I just took them out of the gallery and added some more text.

    1. Spot on, Sue! It was a bit before 2pm, so they must have been having a late lunch or early afternoon tea. No movement at all. I can’t even remember seeing anybody – perhaps they had slipped into town.
